My name is Svіtlana Barabash, and I live and work in Kyiv, Ukraine. I have been involved in painting and drawing for many years, and recently these forms of creativity have become a significant part of my life. I can confidently call myself an artist.
I enjoy everything connected with the process of creation: the scent of oil paints and canvas, transforming a blank sheet into a living character with an expressive gaze.
My favorite themes are the plasticity of the body – men, women, and horses. Not long ago, I started painting portraits, and this activity has captivated me entirely. For me, the process of creating a painting is similar to recalling memories; it’s a search for the moment when everything on the canvas or paper starts to "pulse" under my hand.
